Hi. I'm brand new to this digest. I'm starting to look into my family
history. I'm not sure what the format is for requests/discussions, so
please excuse my request if I'm ignoring some protocol.

My name is Scott Bridges, currently living in Chapin, SC (suburb of
Columbia). My hometown was Youngwood, PA. My Mother is Faye Hamilton
Bridges, her mother was Ella Mae Upperman Hamilton, her father (my great
grandfather, to whom I bear a striking resemblance) was David Upperman. I
believe that he was from the Vandergrift, PA area, near Pittsburgh. I can
also provide more detail on birth/death dates, etc.

Does anyone have any info on the Upperman family in this area? I would be
willing to provide any data that I have as well.
