Good evening everyone:

Does any one know of descendants or relations of James Cooper, who died 25 March 1856 in or near Niagara-on-the-Lake, aged about 86 years.

His wife was Elizabeth (Hixson?), and the children may be Janet (1797), John (1799), Daniel (1800), James (1802), Timothy (1806), (and Thomas?, 1817?).

Is this the same family as the Lieutenant James Cooper who served at the Battle of Queenston Heights?

Does the 1812 veteran have a tombstone, perhaps in St. Andrew's Churchyard in Niagara-on-the-Lake?

Any assistance is sincerely appreciated. Please reply to me privately, with the subject being prefaced by the word "Cooper". Thanks!

Cheers!
J. Brian Gilchrist
