Unfortunately, this was all of the information taken. Sometimes, the isn't
an exacte day or month, just year given depending on the source of the
information.

I, too, would have loved it if we were better at recording this type of
information back then.

Please excuse my ignorance of Canadian Records and History.

Something has been bothering me about the below information:

.....St. James' Cathedral. The entry you asked for on pg. 543 is

Williams to McAndrew, Toronto, 7th Aug 1856. This day were married by
license Henry Williams, of Toronto, bachelor, and Margaret McAndrew, of the
same place, spinster, by me. H.J. Grasett.....


--In my search in the New York, New Jersey area, each church record for
marriages included the Parish that the individuals attended prior to this
marriage.
Also, the parents of the couple were included in the marriage information.

Question: Would this not have been asked by St. James Cathedral?

Is there an address that I could perhaps write to St. James Cathedral and
ask
for any information about this couple? Naturally I would enclose a donation
for their time and effort.

As always, I am thankful for any information given to me.
