This is just ridiculous - language is not politics and Aer Lingus is a
national carrier, why on earth shouldn't they use the native language of the
country. I think that it would have been possible to use Scots as well - it
would only have taken a couple of seconds to add it on to a taped message,
in Irish and Scots.

I suspect that some of the anti-Irish language lobby in the south are just
using 'political sensitivities' in the north as a way of jettison Irish,
which they have always wanted to do but couldn't find an excuse to do
before. This helps the status of no language other than English.
