There were many Jews who were settled in the Lakewood, New Jersey area who
had chicken farms. Try southern Momnouth and parts of Ocean Counties in New
Jersey.

Some of the place I know of in New Jersey where Jews
farmed were at Alliance, Carmel, Rosenhaym,and
Woodbine.
(I also know that the Jewish artist Ben Shahn and his
artist wife lived and had their studio at "Jersey
Homesteads (now called "Roosevelt") New Jersey, where
I once had the pleasure of visiting them.) >>
