Mr.Pickholtz should have a look at the name listings
at:
http://data.jewishgen.org/wconnect/wc.dll?jg~jgsys~ajhs_pb~r!!277
If he can't find the name or names he seeks, he might
try doing searches in the De Hirsch materials stored
by the American Jewish Historical Society, at the
Center Center for Jewish History at 15 West 16th
Street, New York City.
Some of the place I know of in New Jersey where Jews
farmed were at Alliance, Carmel, Rosenhaym, and
Woodbine.
(I also know that the Jewish artist Ben Shahn and his
artist wife lived and had their studio at "Jersey
Homesteads (now called "Roosevelt") New Jersey, where
I once had the pleasure of visiting them.)
As I recall, every once in a while other Jewishgenners
seek information about New Jersey farming. Perhaps Mr.
Pickholtz could rummage through the Jewishgen's
Discussion group and SIG files to find the names they
inquired about. He may even want to compile his own
list!
