Thanks so much for your response. Perhaps I did not give what info I already have clearly.

The local Catholic church here in Texas is where I found the only clue I have to my grandmother's birthplace...HOROZANKA, Galicia, circa 1870= My grandmother was Anna Maria Hrabal/r, daughter of Peter & Anastasia Hrabal/r. Neither of my paternal grandparents were from Russia. My grandfather's (Joannes Siekierka) Roman Catholic baptismal record reads place of birth...PODHAJCE (modern day Pidhaitsi), Galicia TONSTOB(v)aby oblast. They were both Roman Catholic, and immigrated with 3 children in l896. So those 3 children, Catherina, Paulina Bertha, and Josef Ferdinand were born and baptized before they left Galicia.
Horozanka and Podhajce both are close in distance, and both are in modern day Ukraine.
