Hi,
Thanks to Jan, Mary and the others about the location of this Asylum and it's records.
Unfortunately the L. M. A. are adamant that the HOSPREC website is wrong and that they don't have this asylum's records !
Other people have asked them and they don't know where the records are, they suspect either they were destroyed (!!!), or a health authority has them ?
As my ancestor had lived exclusively in Bethnal Green, as far as I know, I tried to locate him working the other way by looking for his name in the book "Bethnal Green Board of Guardians Register Of Lunatics & Imbeciles"
This gives a list of the various Asylums and the names of those people who have been transferred there by the Bethnal Green B.O.G., who have to pay for their upkeep.
Similarly I tried the year books around 1907 without success.
I did find someone with the same name, but it wasn't him.
Does anyone know where the records are likely to be ?
