Subject: [Wakefieldfhs] Appology for look up request

Hi to all,
Yesterday I posted a look up request for the 1861 census thinking someone may have it in their possession and it would be a matter of typing in the surname onto the computer and hey presto all the surnames would come up. I am now informed this is not so and the CD information is the same as is on the micro film at the local library where you just have to search through the area you are looking for. I therefore must say sorry for asking people to do something that I can access free at my local library. I must say though each message I post brings a bit more information and therefore I learn a little bit more about my search. I know some people have had many years experience and may find newbie requests and questions a bit obvious or lazy, but all I can say is I'm learning a lot from this list and I hope people aren't put off by the requests or questions even if they cannot be answered I often get directed to a good site or resource. Thankyou list for all your help and sor!
ry for asking for a 1861 census request.
Yours
Fiona Morton
