Hi Jenny
While it is unlikely that even a phonetic search will pick it up, it just
might mean something to someone researching the family that this person was
boarding with. A note to the affect that the name is incomplete rather than
unreadable would be appropriate.
Bill

A bit of advice please, with a badly torn page and most of the surname
missing, only ....ndley appearing, is there any way that it is searchable,
or will it be a case of the researcher having to search the original and
coming across it? It is a single entry - a boarder.
Many thanks
Jenny
