Hi Bill

Thank you for your reply.

I was taken aback with your reply as I was told that he was brought up with his grandmother and grandfather.

I have rang my aunty who has told me that he was brought up with his aunty and uncle who were Clendon and Ann Jane Vallendar, but she did'int think he was adopted by them. Aparently he was named after his uncle but when registered his name was wrote down wrong hence Clendor.

Is the information from the 1911 census or another source?
