My Uhl ancestor was named Rebecca and she was born in Pennsylvania about 1809, she was the daughter of Johannes (John) UHL and Catherine Hoyman. I know that on the 28 Sep 1829 in Cumberland, Maryland she married David Logsdon. Their first two children were born in 1830 and 1835 and I do not have a location on those...the next 8 were all born in Knox County, Ohio. Knox County is just slightly north of Columbus. I know nothing else about Rebecca.
I know more about her father who was born in Dalheim, Hessin, Germany in August 1761 and who died in Maryland in 1827. He was the father of numerous children:
Lydia Uhl
Johannes (John) UHL
Jacob Uhl
Elizabeth Uhl
Charles Uhl
Peter Uhl
Catherine Uhl
William Uhl
George Uhl
Samuel Uhl
Henry Uhl
Jesse Uhl
Archibald Uhl
These children were all born between 1784 and 1808!
