Hi Ron,

The method I use when ever I delete an individual, that was assigned a
record number, from the data base is as follows: In the Individual Record
window, for that indivdual, I remove them from all events that they are
linked to, except from there birth event. In there birth edit window I
unlink there parents by removing them in the lower left hand corner,
connected individuals, box. Back in the Individual Record window I change
there sex to unknown and change the name to /REMOVE/. I will now have a
list of all my deleted individuals in View / Individuals List / By
Surname/, listed as /REMOVE/. When I want to create a new individual I have
a list of the /REMOVE/'s to use. All I have to do is double click on the
/REMOVE/ from the list and a Individual Record window opens up for that
/REMOVE/. I then type in a new name and link them to events and other persons.

Hope that helps you,

Howard
