I have been researching the following surnames: GERANDINO, GERNADINO and
GANDINE. I have posted before a message on these names and hope there maybe
someone new to the message boards with additional information.

The name was that of my great great grandfather Joseph Gerandino. In Bexar
County Census records from 1870 it stated he was from Switzerland. He was
married to my great great grandmother Elizabeth Strohmeyer who came to Medina
County in 1845 from Burnhaupt-le-haut, Alsace. They married in 1861 in San
Antonio. She later changed the family name to BLACK. It is unknown what happened
to Joseph Gerandino. My great grandfather was his son, Joseph Black.
