Hey, stranger things have happened. I appreciate your answering. I happen to have a niece who works for U. T. and I sent her a copy of our conversation. Hopefully if they are there she can find them. I would think though that the county would have sent all old records to the repository for it's district---which is Tech. What was so weird was that when I went to the county clerk's office and asked they all looked at me like a cow at a new gate. I had called before I went and talked to about 3 or 4 different places and got the same response-------call this next place. I can see now why non of the West Texas counties are on microfilm!!!!!!!! Geezzzzzzz share!!!! Andrea

O boy a bag of Worms your opening .
In S Louisana a lot of our records are now in UT. Yes good old
University of Texas has many court house records. They bought from
someone who stole thenm from the court houses.
Right now we are trying to find the book with Gen P T BREGUARDS 's death
cert (the Orginal) it has walked off.
People Steal or Borrow or forget to return. Some think I am a descendent
so it should be mind .

seeking the tax records for the county for 1910-1930. NO one knows where
they are, maybe they were merely passing the BUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! Where on earth
could the records be. I got the run-around from everyone. Have they been
sent to Texas Tech???????????? Maybe for the repository!! Can anyone help
me...........the county government people surely couldn't. This information
is vital for me to place my MONK family in the area for a certain time.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone out there. Andrea
