Mary:

There may be a Sugarloaf Mountain school in Bowie Co., TX; I don't know.
However, there was actually a mountain named Sugarloaf Mountain
in Sebastian Co., AR. That's where my Red River Co., TX Duncans migrated
from in 1904. Any chance your family also comes from Sebastian Co., AR?
If such a school of this name exists in Bowie Co., TX, I would think
that it was named by folks who migrated from AR.
