Yes, I have the "German Roots-Texas Growth" series of books, in fact I am the author of the one for the George and Caroline Treybig Wassermann Family. But we have now established that the Treybigs made another stop on their way to Shelby. Census records indicate their home was in Buckhorn in Austin County in 1850. We're trying to determine if there were other families who may have traveled with them who may have more information than we do.

We had a Treybig reunion on April 29 of this year. We had some difficulty with addresses this time, so do not know if the person who was responsible had an address for you or not. If you didn't get one, let me know an address and I'll see that you get on the list. You can email me directly at
