I think they remained in North Carolina. Bryant seems to be a popular name
at the time. Check to see if a Rawls married a Bryant at the right time
frame to be the parents of your Bryant. Good Luck!

Did Penelope Turner and Aretus Whaley remain in NC or did they migrate?
Curious as I have another line (not Turners) that migrated NC to SC and
given name of Bryant (Bryant Rawls). This family continue to migrated
westward into MS and TX.
