I would invite my 5th great grandfather Henry Turner b. cica 1784 in
North/South Carolina, then moved to Fayette Co. Ga. in early 1800's. Things
I would ask
* What exactly is our ethnic origin, do I come from Native Americans, or
is it Melungeon, or some other mixture? (family history say Indian and that
it was Cherokee, but Im not to sure about that.) my Turners were listed as
Mulatto until 1880 and then White from there on.
* Also where exactly was he born, and what year did he move his family to
Ga.
* Henry lived well into his 90's and I would want to know about all his
life experiences and all about his wife Tebithan and who her parents were.
(She was listed as "Mu" as well)
Mostly I would just let him talk and try to learn everything I could about
where my family comes from and enjoy every minute and every story he would
tell!
