Some of the Turner's from Goochland, VA settled in Guthrie, Oklahoma at the time of the land rush. I have a friend who lived in Guthrie and there is a building in Guthrie named the
Turner Block. Several of the families that opened up Oklahoma Territory came from Goochland, VA - went to Missouri and then into Oklahoma. I know this is a long shot, but might help someone. I am a Turner from the Northeast. My friends mother's last name was Gooch. June

The Pleasant Turner Mary is looking for won't be on SSDI as he was born in the
mid 1700's I think. He married was in the area of Goochland Co, VA.
