Chris Treon:
Hi there again! I am definitely interested!!!! We have that "a" Dr. Michael
Treon who was
"supposedly" a son of Christian (but that is in hot debate) and his wife
Eliza Achey (Ache) were the parents of Dr. Frederick Treon who is my husband's
ancestor. The OHIO folks on our list are DEFINITELY super-duper interested in
anything you have on CHRISTIAN!!! (AS ARE WE!) I'm 42 too and from PA
as well as my husband. I'm sure you are all somehow related. Just need to dig
through some of this. Also, there were discrepancies on translations and
transcriptions of ship's rosters. Some list Christian as ADRIAN and some as
DRION for his surname. Some say the dates simply don't work. Alot of huge
questions and we are all trying to work together to figure these folks out. We
now have a researcher on the list (Heiby) whose ancestress was a DRION that
some of our TREON ancestor's spelled the name as. She was sister of who we
thought was our Dr. Michael who came on the ship name Janet in the 1752'ish
period to PA. They were said to be surgeons of the French Army. I have read
elsewhere they were Flemish. Anyway, WELCOME. I will fwd (but delete personal
info) to the list, ok. Great to hear from you again!!!! Bonnie and Jeff Treon

Bonnie, thank you for the quick response to my e-mail. My father traced our
lineage all the way back to Dr. Christian and I was beginning to think that I
was the end of the line. We didn't have any other information about about
any of the other people except the ones in our direct line. From the family
tree that my father made about thirty years ago, Dr Christian's son, Dr.
Michael, had nine children, Michael, John, Jacob, Isaac, Rebecca, Catharine,
Mary and Hannah. Is this the same line of Treon's you are from? Our line
descends from Isaac one of the nine children above. John, was one of the
founders of Miamisburg Ohio in the early 1800s.
Our records show that Dr. Christian is buried in a church cemetary near
Rehrersburg PA. I'm pretty sure I have a picture of me standing next to it.
I looked for it alittle bit last night but I couldn't find it. I'll let you
know when I find something out. You mentioned something about relatives in
OH, IN, and MO. There are a bunch of Treons in the Dayton, OH area but like
I said earlier, I don't show that we are related. It would be interesting to
see if we are somehow....
LET'S ALL WELCOME CHRIS TO OUR RESEARCH!
