It is my job to have the Treece Mail List run smoothley and it does. I have some pointers for everyone.

I combined the Treece Message Board hosted by Ancestry.com with the Treece Mail List , which means when you post a query to the Treece Message Board , the query is sent to the Treece Mail List automatically. What happens here is your query is on the Treece Message Board and Treece Mail List.
Okay now you have read the Mail List queries today and you read one that was sent from the Message board , you are able to read the Message Board query, but if you want to answer it you must go to the Treece Message Board to do that. Which is the correct procedure so your answer gets noticed on the Message board and the Mail List.

Now if the query is sent to the Treece Mail List you go ahead and email your answer to the mail list and it is read by all Treece Mail Subscribers.

If you do not want to go to the Treece Message Board copy and paste the query into a new email to the mail list and the mail list will see the response.

Your SUBJECT LINE is important a good subject line is :
Daniel Treece, died 1840, Union Co IL
Jacob Trees, Sarah Grammer m. Union Co IL
Moses Trees, Union Co IL , 1850
Trees, Lowrance, Hartline, Dillow (these names should be in the message.)
Jacob Trees, Rowan Co NC 1811 Will

It is easy to hit the reply button on a message, some of the worst subjects are HELP, I am more often going to open a message when the subject is like those examples above. When reply to the message you may have added another SURNAME that was not on the original request.

example: Jacob Trees, Sarah Grammer, Buck, Wilson, Tinsley , Union Co IL
Jacob Trees had three wifes so that subject interests me.
Of course everyone needs Help but this are archived by subject line if you typed Grammer into the search engine the message Jacob Trees,Sarah Grammer m. Union Co IL should come up in the search engine. Help will not.
Remember WHO,WHEN, WHERE,
WHAT I am looking for Jacob Trees 1840 Union Co IL Census again you gave a WHO, WHEN, WHERE and WHAT you are looking for.

Folks just being helpful this list runs well because it is family, I just trying to help your research improve on the list..
