My Thomas Neal/Neel has a brother named John, but he is not your John.

can help. I still think there is a connection. Maybe your John and my Thomas
are cousins.

My Thomas was born about 1785. His father was Adam Neal. Thomas' marriages
are a BIG problem. There are many theories. I have changed my mind many
times. Thomas' son John Fisher Neel named his parents as Thomas and Mary
Neel in his Family Bible. Therefore, we know that at some time Thomas was
married to Mary --?--. I THINK they lived in Rutherford County TN before
moving to southeast Missouri. I THINK Thomas died there after 1840.

I have lots of Norman info if you are interested. The parents of your John
Norman are John Norman Sr and Margaret Stockard. The parents of John Norman
Sr are Thomas Norman and Rosanna Harrill.

The Normans and Neels were near each other in NC, in TN and in MO.
