I am not sure there is any connection in this but please note:
Thomas and Ann Vaughn Adams came from Rockingham Co., NC by 1799 and bought
property in Davidson Co., TN but what later became Williamson Co. Thomas died
in the latter part of 1799, leaving his wife and seven (7) minor children,
Sally/Sarah, Ann, James, Nancy, Daniel, David and George Adams. Ann, James,
Daniel, David and George were assigned to Joel Lewis as their guardian. Sarah
and Nancy Adams requested and was granted, by the court, James Dickson as
their guardian. Daniel, David and Nancy Adams, who married George Washington
Waters, went to Lauderdale Co., AL by 1820; however, Daniel and George and
Nancy Adams Waters stopped off in Maury County for a time prior to moving on
the Lauderdale Co., AL. By 1840 Daniel had moved up the river to Hardin Co.,
TN.

I am wondering if there was a relationship between the Adams and Dicksons
since the two girls requested James Dickson as their guardian and if they
moved together from Williamson Co. to Maury Co. and then to Hardin Co.?

Sarah Adams married and Unknown Taylor; Ann Adams married Littleberry Hobbs;
Daniel and David married Fielder girls. George apparently died young and
nothing is known about James Adams.
