All.
I have corresponded with Carol Jacobson and she is otherwise engaged and will
not be able to work on our THOMASONs until later. I have searched "Thomasson
Traces" for any of these DNA groups (below) to no avail. Another look by
someone else might be useful.
The individuals who gave the DNA samples need not be identified, but the line
of their earliest known ancestors would be very helpful.
Carol has given us these names as having the same DNA--
a. John (b. 1740), is father of William J., b 1769
b. Daniel (1801-1839), is father of William H. b. 1824 (Daniel is my line
thru son, Hugh F.)
c. William, 1815
d. Thompson D., b. 1815 is father of Jonas B., b1856
e. Bannister (1770 -1851)
___________
I am trying to connect these obviously related individuals or groups to a
common ancestor. It is obvious that those who gave DNA sample for exploration
have associated genealogical lines. It is this information I need to find the
links among them.
For instance, I can find info that shows--
e. Bannister THOMASON (DNA)
b. 15 Oct 1770 Mechlenburg Co. (?), VA
d. 30 Oct 1851 Brunswick Co., VA
Parents: William and Jemima (?) THOMASON
Spouse:1) Mary SINGLETON
b.
m. 30 Jun 1795 Brunswick Co., VA (sur. William Thomerson)
d. before 1799 Brunswick Co., VA
Spouse 2) Mary/Polly TAYLOR
b. 9 Oct 1776 Brunswick Co., VA
m. 18 Dec 1799 Brunswick Co., VA (sur. Abel Edmunds)
d. 26 Feb 1853 Brunswick Co., VA
Parents: Daniel and Elizabeth/Betsy (Williams) TAYLOR
________
Further Information shows --
b. Daniel (1801-1839) is father of William H. b. 1824 (DNA).
Daniel is probably the son of William and Sarah (?) THOMASON of 1812 Warren
Co., TN.
_________
c. William, 1815 (DNA).
My notes describe him as my William, but I do not know who "my" is.
_________
a. and d. I have nothing.
_________
Can you help?
Best regards,
Hugh
