My father's name is Ray Thiessen and married Winifred Primrose Goodall on December 20th, 1952 at 5:30 pm. I have a copy of the marriage certificate. I'm hoping we are talking about the same person. He was 19 and she was 16, they both living in Wpg at the time and the marriage took place at Holy Trinity Church. Her mother's name was Eileen Goodall (ne: Higginbottom)and they came over to Canada on the Queen Elizabeth ship via the USA. The resided with Mr & Mrs G.B Higginbottom in Selkirk, Man for the first little while then moved to Wpg. Eileen either worked or owned a restaurant and Winifred worked as a store clerk. They were married a very short time and but I don't believe they ever divorced.
Can you confirm this is the same person?
If so, is she still alive? From my research I understand Eileen passed away in Vancouver on April 12th, 1981.
