Anyone who knows:

Monroe County was formed in 1819. None of the located marriage records seem to go back beyond 1838. In McMinn county we had some loose marriage records recorded by the WPA (Works Progress Administration) and put on microfilm.

WHERE are the Monroe Co marriage records for 1819-1838?
