Looking for info on Eliza Raburn (Rayburn and other spellings) Walker,
Cherokee, Born McMinn County, Tn. Born 1833. Married J. Walker and moved to
Mississippi. I believe J. Walker was John Walker. He was considerably older
then Eliza and was Cherokee.
Eliza Raburn Walker is my grt grt grandmother. Died in Carroll County,
Mississippi in 1920. As far as I know she had one daughter, name unknown.
Daughter's name unknown. She married a man last name Gilbert. Their daughter
was Ella Mae Gilbert Jackson. My grandmother. She died in 1916 in Grenada
County, Mississippi. It is possible they died in the yellow fever epidemic
of late 1880's. Ella Mae Gilbert was born in 1885. according to 1900 census
her grandmother, Eliza Walker raised her in Carroll County, Mississippi.
Ella Mae Gilbert married my grandfather, Charlie Walter Jackson, Jr. in 1902
in Carroll County, Mississippi.
Ella Mae died in 1916 and the family moved to Memphis.
