Message Board Post:

I too am interested in Lewis Williamson and his wife Mary, who family history has as a TATUM. I'm looking for documentation of this as fact. Below are some notes on Lewis and Mary Williamson. There definitely is a close relationship between the TATUMs and the WILLIAMSONs from Duplin to Bladen to Columbus Co, NC court records. Richard Tatum Jr (1764-aft 1820) appears to have migrated into the same Cerro Gordo area of Bladen Co, NC (now Columbus Co) as Lewis and Mary Williamson. As a matter of fact the area became known as Tatum Township in future censuses. Let me hear from you if you have anything to share. Thanks.
