Date: Sat, 5 Nov 2011 15:26:42 +0000 (UTC)

Okay, I'll start with me.

Anderson
Defenders 1642
James Anderson -- soldier in Thomas Newburgh's Foot Company
William Anderson soldier in Robert Thornton's Foot Company

Defenders 1689, etc
Capt John Anderson
John Anderson Co Leitrim
James Anderson Co Cavan
Anderson, Quartermaster W

Black
Defenders 1642
NONE

Defenders 1689, etc
John Black Belfast, Co Antrim
Rev Bartholomew Black Aghaloo, CO Tyrone - Rector of Aghalooo, Diocese of Armagh

Comments:
Supposedly my Black was in the Scots army in 1642, so of course he's not in Derry. John Black in Belfast could be a relative, assuming that our received history is correct. He may be the merchant John Black. See archives for details from lookups in Agnew's "Merchants of Belfast".

Defenders 1642
Hugh Marshall soldier in Tristam Berisford's foot company.
William Marshall solder in John Killner's foot company

Defenders 1689, etc
John Marshall Derry

Tristam was located in Derry/Tyrone area. More Hugh's appear later on in an estate in southern Tyrone.
