Virginia-
I remember when DAR tightened the rules BUT...they later relented and
permitted daughters and other close "legacies" to be approved under the "closed"
lines. NEW applications for others would have to proven though--only legacies
(direct family members) can now continue to be "grandfathered in" under the
closed lineages. If in doubt, contact a local chapter registrar for additional
information.
