John, the percentage I do not know, but I believe my husband's ancestor,
Daniel McDonald/MacDonald, was one of them..He immigrated to the USA in 1776
along with his wife Jane, and several children, including their eldest son,
Daniel II took passage from Belfast and landed at or near the port of
Philadelphia, This son, Daniel II served in the American Revolution as a private in
Captain Samuel Firestone's Company, Sixth Battalion of the Cumberland County
Militia, according to his descendant, Herbert S. MacDonald, Mr. MacDonald
served as a judge of Superior Court of Connecticut in the 1950's and '60's.

This information comes from Mr. MacDonald's book "One Small Branch of The
Old MacDonald Tree" published in 1968.
