I've been thinking while reading this thread, that the only think I like is Bourbon with coca-cola (well, rum and coca-cola is also good.) I don't really drink so I didn't say anything as I thought Bourbon and coke is just the typical Alabama Southern drink.

I believe Canada is mostly associated with rye whisky. The US whisky is bourbon
which is made from corn. If you went into any bar in the US & asked for Rye,
they likely wouldn't know what you meant. you would have to ask for Seagrams
or Canadian whiskey.
