I am a devoted reader - and learner - from this website.



Serving as Genealogy Coordinator for Clan Guthrie, U. S. A., Inc., I receive
a wide variety of inquiries. I try to limit my "expertise?" to continental
U. S. A. and very limited info on arrivals from Scotland and Northern
Ireland.



I will appreciate learning some references I can suggest for Etienne Bosman
to pursue. (I found this message quite easy to understand when interpreted
phonetically.)



Good day my name is Etienne Bosman grate grandson of John adamson Guthrie!i
live in south africa and busy searching for information of J.A Guthrie! It
is very difficalt coz none of the children knew him that well and i cant
find any documents of him in south africa!all i know is that he was born in
scotland and got sent to south africa to surve the uk in the anglo boer war
(1890-1902)he got married to cornelia potgieter coetzee and lived in
kaapmuiden in mpumalanga south africa thy had 6 children!J.A Guthrie got
killed in war and a 5 pound war gratuity got paid to the widdow!after that
thy moved to winburg and the children got placed in the winburg
orphanage!(there is storys that J.A Guthrie worked in a coal mine might be
in baberton and that cornelia worked in a hospital) thy got placed in the
orphanage between

1933 and 1940!that is every thing that i know but i dont have any documantes
to justivy my nolidge!is it posable that you might be able to help me or
