Hi Nelda,

Thank you for this information. I've known about the many DNA projects
over the past year or so, and I have a little knowledge about DNA in
general.

I'd love to be able to participate, but I'm a female as was my KERR mother.
I only have one KERR uncle still alive, and he is semi-estranged from the
family. I have one KERR male cousin left but he doesn't participate in
family get-togethers. (And none of us could afford to pay for the
testing.)

There are many KERR's in several provinces in Canada, and they would
probably be better candidates for DNA testing. (I belong to a List for a
former town in Argenteuil County, Quebec, where my KERR's settled in the
1820's. I don't know if DNA has been brought up on that List.)

Betty

P.S. I would also love to participate in DNA testing for the LEWIS
surname. But, in my own family, I only have one brother who has no
interest in genealogy. And, I have a LEWIS male cousin - who I haven't
seen since he was 16 years old. My grandfather was one of 13 children
in a LEWIS family, but I have not been able to find much information on his
nephews and nieces, and thus have no way to contact them. I don't even
know how many there were.
