Thanks for your suggestions, John. I have never really researched my
Allison/Ellison line but I have done a lot of research on the Andersons and
yes, they were definitely Scots Irish. When I saw the Robert Allison and the
James Anderson names it got my interest. Maybe I'll wander down Allison
trails for a while. Thanks so much for your reply.
