Apologies that this was first sent as a MORRISON
lookup, when in fact it was WALLACE!!
Were there any WALLACE/WALLIS folks on the 1718 ship list ?
~malinda
That they are settling, or owning land, in New
Hampshire (esp. Londonderry, NH) in the era
immediately after 1718 and are also Scotch-Irish,
is at least a good tip-off that they probably
came in 1718. So, with that in mind, here are the
Wallace (Wallis) couples listed in the William
Copely article:
WALLACE (WALLIS), James & Francis, Londonderry,
NH 1752 (maiden names in brackets)
John & Annis (Barnett), Londonderry, NH 1720
(Early Records of Londonderry, Windham, and
Derry, edited by George Waldo Browne, Manchester,
1908, (Volume 2)
John & Janet (Lindsay), Londonderry, NH 1730
Jonathan, Londonderry, NH 1725 (Vital Records of
Londonderry, N.H., compiled by Daniel Gage Annis,
Manchester, 1914.) Joseph & Margaret,
Londonderry, NH 1731
Robert & Naomi, Londonderry, NH 1737
Thomas & Jean, Londonderry, NH 1726 (Parker, The
History of Londonderry, N.H, 1851), Londonderry,
NH 1733 (Annis book)
Thomas & Barbara (Cochran), Londonderry, NH 1731
