Relative to the ancestry; this is conjecture...

Annie Arthur married to Embert reuben Greene (living in Blackstone MA and
Providence Rhode Island) she being born about 1867 came to the United States
from Canada in ca 1882. Her father was Joseph Arthur and her mother
Marion/Marian Rennie. I did not believe this family statement that "she was second cousin
to Chester A. Arthur" but then I noticed that C.A. Arthur's ancestors in the
Stone family lived in Dunham Missisquoi Quebec Canada. So then I thought well
maybe there was some truth (less fiction) to her claim. I attempted to trace
this Stone family back and found they were from Haverhill MA on the
northeastern coast of Massachusetts. Would be interested in conjecture if anyone is
aware of this Canadian Arthur family.

My interest is that this Annie Arthur of Canada/Massachusetts/Rhode Island
(different locations) married my "ancestor" Embert Reuben Greene
great-grandson of Benjamin Greene in the Revolutionary War....
(Massachusetts Greene family; not Rhode Island Greene family)
Thank you
Jean S.
Haverhill MA
