Oops! Virginia, I think I misunderstood you -- I think you
thought the ancestor came before Yorktown. Maybe he served
in British army during the French and Indian War (Seven Years
War as it is known in Britain). Kitzmiller lists regiments
who served in it. There were also land grants given to
soldiers who served in it. The name of these men are published....
I'll find the book's name.
