My great grandfather was born in Ireland about 1830. (Charles Ritchie) as
were his mother & father, John and Jane. I don't know if they all went to
Canada or just Charles. He and his second wife were on the 1871 Essa
Township census (Ontario, Canada) with the name spelled Richie, also on the
1881 Essa Township census with the name spelled wrong. This also showed my
grandfather Henry (name spelled Henery) Any ideas on how they got to Canada?
