I have a Pennsylvania ancestor named John Daugherty (1804-1889) who was buried in a United Presbyterian (formerly Reformed Presbyterian) cemetery. I have no idea of the ancestral heritage of this man. Scottish, Scotch-Irish, etc. Does the DAU spelling (instead of DOU) indicate anything?
