I have been informed that no one named Staton, Staten, Stayton, Statton,
Stanton, Staughton, Staughnton or SLaton lived in North Ireland or
migrated to America from North Ireland. Is this true? My Staton family
was Scotch-Irish and lived in Irish Bottom near Burkesville in Cumberland
County Kentucky. The Cumberland County History by Wells also says the
Statons were Scotch-Irish. I'm at the end of my rope. Any info will be
appreciated more than you can imagine!
