Dear Linda Atkins,

I'm another one of your Presidential cousins--George Bush Sr. is my 6th cousin and W. is my 6th cousin once removed.

The Walker name that was given to both men refers to an English family of Walkers who came to America in the 19th century --it is not the same line as the Walkers from Rockbridge Co., Va. who have been here since the 1700s.

But I am very interested in the Weir and Walker families, since I am connected to both. I'm also interested in Andersons, since my great-great grandfather William Walker, born in Knox Co., TN in 1800, may have had the middle name Anderson.
