Hi Linda:

"huge spreadsheets of data got from the same sources you mentioned, but I
cannot connect any of it to some lines that I do not have a location in
Ireland for yet. So on those lines I'm back to researching in the
USA."

Your comment is exactly where I am at. Files and files of data collected and
still can't pinpoint location in Ireland . Have traced emigrating family
members all over the US and Canada, have followed siblings, cousins, aunts
and uncles and still no reference to place of residence in Ireland. Can't
even begin to count the birth and death certificates, obituaries, probates,
land records, marriage records and co histories collected. The only mention
is of Belfast...To me, that means anywhere in or about Co Antrim. And then of
course you have the area of Co Down. I have researched the Huston family
movements and groupings all over Co Antrim and still cannot put the family
together in the 1820's prior to their emigration to the US. It seems that
once I determine the townland, all I have to do is hit those old research
files and the pieces of the puzzle will fall into place. Talk about a needle
in a haystack!
I can't imagine how I ever kept my research notes sorted without a computer.
Came across box of my old research notes dated 1980. Been at it for over 20
years now, boy how time flies when you are having fun..
Anyway, thanks for your input..

Georgia
