Hi Nancy, you mean PRO or PRONI? Whatever.
There are two ways to look for your film in LDS:
1. Using the LDS Catalog, navigate to either BRITISH or IRISH
depending on whether you are searching for PRO or PRONI.
In the sections on archives and Libraries(www.familysearch.org > Search
the catalog> PLacename Search), check them all. You can find a list
of all the stuff filmed by LDS from PRONI.
2. FASTER. Use the placename search to find CARNMONEY. I did that.
There they are. FHL BRITISH Film 994085 Item 2 is ONE. There
are several.
What is on this film: Notes say:
Contents: Marriages, 1708-1871 -- Baptisms, 1799-1869.
I recommend buying the CD of the catalog for $5.00 . You can bookmark
items so you can find them easily. I often find things ONCE and
not a second time. The way you catalog an item is at times subjective --
you have to "second guess" the cataloger and the cataloging system.
DO THE SEARCH. There's a lot more there on Carnmoney and you will want
to view all relevant films. Otherwise you might not find your family
because you don't use the LDS catalog effectively rather than due to
lack of records. That's my problem too!
