Subject: [Scotch-Irish] GRIER Family

I am having difficulty in locating a book on an Antrim family: "The
descendants of John Grier: with histories of allied families: a biographical
and genealogical record;" by J. G. Steverns, Baltimore, Md., 1964. John
Grier lived ca. 1727 and 1816, and a descendant who interests me was another
John Grier who, during his Presbyterian theological studies at the University
of Glasgow, decided to convert to the Church of Ireland. Later, he emigrated
to Upper Canada under the auspices of the Society for the Propagation of the
Gospel and became an Angligan clergyman in Belleville, Upper Canada. The
book was evidently printed privately in Baltimore. None of the ususal
genealogical or antiquarian book sellers search sites on line have been
productive. I know the New York Public Library has a copy, and I may have to
wait until my next trip to New York to read the book. In the meantime, are
there any suggestions? Judith Giffin, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
