Hi All,
Am searching for birthplace in Ireland of William McQuilkin, b. 1813,
immigrated to USA June 1834 (passenger arrival list missing). Naturalized in
Philadelphia, Pa. Sept 1846 (no County given on naturalization papers). We
were told he was Scotch-Irish.
His son converted to Catholicism and wasn't sure if he was baptized, but
thought he
may have been in the Methodist Church. (this info. from parish of his
conditional baptism in Phila). Does Scotch-Irish-Methodist make sense? Does
anyone have any information on his possible whereabouts in Ireland? Thank
you.
