Hi folks, Friday morning I am boarding a plane to fly from California
to Massachusetts. So service may be a little sparce. I will have
access to the Internet once I arrive.
If you want to unsubscribe tomorrow, take note:
If you get the digest, the unsubscribe directions are right below
the table of contents. They say:
Send email to
with NO text in the subject and only the word
unsubscribe in the body.
If you get individual emails, do the same but send the email to
(note: one one letter difference).
If you get an error message back, it will tell you what to do.
Do it. If for some reason you are in a hurry, contact the rootsweb
help desk at www.rootsweb.com . Don't panic; we all get "Stuck"
on email lists sometimes. Demanding to be let off doesn't usually
work (it's software; it doesn't perceive that you have an attitude).
If you are also going away for holiday, you may want to unsub or
switch to digest. Otherwise when your email box fills up, Rootsweb
software (not evil list admins out to get you) will unsub you.
You'll have to resub anyway when you return. You can always check
the list's archives to see what you may have missed.
Everytime I get on an airplane whether or not I tell the list,
there's a fight. SO it's 12 hours till the fight starts! What will it be
about this time? You Scotch Irish are such psychic little fellas...
