Was delighted to see the McKeever discussions. I have a Patrick
McKeever(numerous other spellings of course) who was married at Christ
Church, Philadelphia 1792 to Martha Loudon. I believe it was the
same couple who had two children baptized in Bethel twp. Dauphin Co.
Pa before 1800 in a Lutheran church. By 1802 they had bought land
with Samuel Loudon in Trumbull, later Mahoning Co. OH. Patrick and
Martha died before 1850. Family tradition says that Patrick was
born in Bushmills Ireland and deserted from the British navy.
I am hoping some of the experts on this list can tell me if it would
make sense to assume this couple was Anglican. I have found no
indication that they were Presbyterians. They were both illiterate.
I have a good history of them from 1800 forward but not before. Any
advice?
