The Nonsubscribing Presbyterians were a group who refused to accept the
need to subscribe to human doctrinal statements, so they refused to
subscribe to the Westminster Confession.
This group has been discussed at length while there was still history
discussed on this list, rather than the minutia of genealogy.
I suggest that you look up the archives.
The nonsubscribing controversy in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland lasted
from about 1710 to 1830. It initially resulted in a fragmentation of the
Presbyterian administrative bodies, and then the establishment of another
Church. It is an added complication for those who are trying to follow up
Churches resources
